Our effort to build a stronger, revitalized organization will
have a far-reaching impact.
“Enhancing Quality of Life” is a $16.8 million, five-year
campaign to fund two capital projects and to expand our fundraising
capacity going forward. Our goal is to provide the resources needed
to bring comfort and care to the Bay Area’s hospice patients
and their families regardless of their financial means as a single
organization serving three counties.
1) Establish a debt-free permanent home to position Hospice
By The Bay to better meet community needs: $ 13.8 Million
Within the last six years, the number of people we’ve
served has tripled. Our new Larkspur headquarters affords us
room for our expanded three-county staff while situating us
in the heart of our service community. Finding this space saves
us the effort and expense of a major construction campaign
to build our own facility, and makes our day-to-day services
more cost-effective.
2) Provide a new fund to serve as a cornerstone of stability
and endurance: $ 1 Million
A strong Endowment Fund will support Hospice’s vision
to create a community where premier hospice services are readily
available to people who need it. This Fund will allow the entire
organization to stand firm, and will help preserve our financial
security now and in the future.
3) Expand the resources of Hospice By The Bay Foundation to
keep pace with a growing Hospice: $ 2 Million
To achieve a healthy, sustainable, high-capacity Hospice organization,
we need the broad-based support of a deep and growing base
of people who share our vision. Together, we will build our
financial assets, diversify our revenue streams, and plan for
continuous improvement. Increasing the capacity of Hospice
By the Bay Foundation will allow this to happen.
