Is it time for Hospice?

Sometimes, it's difficult to know whether to talk to your physician or loved one about requesting hospice care. However, many families who choose Hospice By The Bay tell us, "Your care and support of everyone in our family has been so wonderful, we wish we had called you sooner."

To help decide whether it's time to consider hospice care, review the questions below. If the answer is yes to three or more, call us. We can help.

Have you or a loved one:

1. Been hospitalized several times in the last six months?

2. Used medication more frequently to ease pain symptoms?

3.  Needed help with two or more of the following?

  • Bathing
  • Dressing
  • Eating
  • Walking
  • Getting out of bed or a chair

4. Had unexplained weight loss in the last year?

5. Had shortness of breath while resting?

6. Been diagnosed with a serious illness by a doctor and told that life expectancy is limited?

No matter how you answered these questions, you can always call us just to talk. We'll discuss your concerns and options so you can make the right choices for you and your family.
