Hospice By The Bay was founded by volunteers as a non-profit, end-of-life healthcare provider in 1975. It was created by the community to serve the community. As the second oldest hospice in
the U.S., Hospice By The Bay has the depth of experience to understand the medical, practical, emotional and
spiritual care patients and their families need during the end of life experience. Hospice By The Bay's Community Bereavement Program offers the grief support and comfort so needed by all members of the community who are anticipating or coping with the death of a loved one.
Hospice
By The Bay's care is funded through Medicare and other healthcare reimbursement, as well as charitable donations from community members and businesses. Tax-deductible donations help ensure that patients and families have access to our compassionate care, regardless of their ability to pay.
